ROC'N Wednesday! Better Days Are Coming

It was a feeling of pure delight to witness Joseph Biden being sworn in today as the 46th President of the United States by Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Roberts and Kamala Harris as the Vice President by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. I truly believe better days are coming if we are brave enough to see it as Amanda Gorman, the United States' first-ever youth poet laureate recited in her powerful poem and as evident in President Biden's speech, denouncing “racism, nativism, fear, demonization,” that propelled the assault on Capitol Hill by an overwhelmingly white mob of Trump supporters who carried symbols of hate, including the Confederate battle flag.

Despite these dark times, we are breaking barriers and rising up on this inauguration day. There is no room for 'home grown hate' and I am confident that President Biden and Vice President Harris will unite our country for freedom and equities as 'it is a new dawn, a new day, a new life for me and I'm feeling good!'
